Trump’s CDC director backs abortion surveillance. Rep. Sara Jacobs responds

California Rep. Sara Jacobs warns that a person’s digital footprint, including searches and other online activity, could be used by police and prosecutors investigating abortion in states where the procedure is banned or restricted.

Jacobs has pushed legislation aimed at limiting the collection and use of reproductive and sexual health data, arguing that information such as search history, location data and period-tracking data can be collected, shared or sold.
