The USS Abraham Lincoln has spent more than 240 days continuously at sea, with reports raising serious concerns about conditions inside the ship.
Sailors and their families have described poor sanitation, broken plumbing, shortages of fresh food, limited port visits and dwindling supplies during the prolonged deployment. The concerns have also extended to crew membersโ mental health, with some sailors reportedly attempting to jump overboard.
The Navy has denied that the Lincoln is experiencing a mental health crisis, while lawmakers are demanding answers over the conditions facing the roughly 5,000 people aboard.
