California Rep. Lou Correa spoke with community leader Roberto Guzmán about his detention at the Adelanto ICE Processing Center, contrasting Guzmán’s experience with the Trump administration’s repeated claims that its immigration crackdown is focused on the “worst of the worst.”
The facility has faced mounting scrutiny over detainee treatment. A federal judge ordered major health and safety reforms at Adelanto in July, including requirements for adequate medical care, safe food and water and disability accommodations, while a court-appointed monitor later found serious deficiencies in the medical care provided there.
