California Rep. Ted Lieu questioned President Donald Trump’s health after Trump backed out of a planned Capitol event, pointing to what Lieu described as a pattern of erratic behavior, trouble staying awake at public events, weakness in one arm and swelling in his hands.
Lieu said the White House should provide more transparency about the president’s health and questioned whether the canceled appearance could have been related to a medical issue. The White House has repeatedly defended Trump’s health and said he remains fit to serve.
