LA residents erupt over federal officer pointing gun at protesters

Attendees disrupted a Los Angeles Board of Police Commissioners meeting Tuesday, demanding answers over the LAPD’s response to a confrontation involving federal officers and ICE protesters near the Metropolitan Detention Center.

Videos from the incident show a Bureau of Prisons employee pointing a gun at protesters after LAPD said two federal officers were followed into a nearby parking garage and assaulted. No shots were fired, and the incident remains under investigation. Several attendees questioned why the federal officer was not arrested after displaying his weapon during the confrontation.
