Billionaire money meets MAGA ties in $12.5 billion Lakers sale

The Los Angeles Lakers just sold again, this time for a record-breaking $12.5 BILLION. The biggest sports sale in HISTORY.

Bob Iger, the former Disney CEO who led the company for nearly two decades, and Josh Kushner, the 41-year-old billionaire founder of Thrive Capital. Although both men are longtime Democrats, Kushner’s family ties tell a different story: his brother Jared is married to Ivanka Trump, and his father Charles โ€” pardoned by Trump in 2020 on fraud and tax evasion charges โ€” now serves as U.S. ambassador to France and Monaco.

The seller? Dodgers owner Mark Walterโ€ฆwho is currently under federal investigation for fraud. Bought the Lakers 10 months ago. Selling now with a $2.5B profit. The sale still requires NBA board approval.
